I had a bit of fun working on these. I continue to find interesting ways to get the results I try for, but what surprises me is how working with the nodes in Substance Designer has changed the way I look at the textures around me.
Cedar with Planks; made lighter for use in a moderately dark interior.
Textured plaster; made simple for use with vertex painted grunge.
Shoji Paper Door/Window; Easy texture for emissive use.
Shou Sugi Ban (Carbonized Wood); This was frustrating since I couldn't get the brown in the material to work without the darks being too dark for the scene.
